Run to End Veteran Suicide 5K Race Description

Race Location: 

Veterans Base Camp 108 England Road Chaplin, CT 06235

Registration at 9:00am & Race Start time at 10:00am.

For several years, ‘Veterans Base Camp’ has been providing a safe haven for veterans either returning from deployment or going through a life transition, whether that be homelessness, joblessness, or relationship issues. 

Veterans Base Camp, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, welcomes volunteers and donations to help support our programs. As a public charity, we can provide you with a receipt for tax deductible contributions. Further information on 501(c)(3) organizations may be found on the IRS.gov website.

If you are rucking and collecting items for either of the two causes below, please deduct $10.00 from your entry fee!
Veterans Base Camp has two different programs we are collecting for during the Ruck:

“BackPacks For Life”-an organization that fills the backpacks with survival items and gives military grade backpacks to homeless
veterans. The backpack is something every veteran identifies with. VBC is asking for donations to fill the backpacks. The list is below.
And/Or “Vittles 4 Vets” Food Pantry-we are collecting non-perishable holiday food items for our Pantry to give out at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Ie. stuffing mixes, cranberry sauce, pie fillings, boxed cookie/bread mixes.
